Coconut Grove, FL – Join us on Thursday, March 18, 2010 for The Kampong’s Lecture Series when Larry Schokman shares his recent trip to Sri Lanka. The Kampong will open at 6:30 p.m. with a reception sponsored by Whole Foods Market. The lecture begins at 7 p.m. Kampong Members are free. Suggested donation for non-members $10.

Larry Schokman, a former tea planter from Sri Lanka is a recipient of the American Horticultural Society 2000 Professional Award for the Director of a Botanical Garden, Florida International University Medallion and FIU Department of Environmental Studies Outstanding Alumni Award. He is a founding member and past-President of the Tropical Flowering Tree Society. Larry’s 35 years of passion for The Kampong is displayed as you walk through the garden.
