Nowhere is more appropriate to admire this beautiful flowering tree than at The Kampong, former home and personal garden of David and Marian Fairchild, who are reputed to have started the festival, now known as the fiesta, 76 years ago. A beautiful specimen, planted in 1917 by Marian Fairchild, still graces this bayside garden estate.
