Alumni

Student courses have been fundamental to NTBG’s Education Program since its formative years. Participants have come from a wide range of backgrounds, with different fields of interest, and at varying points in their schooling or professional careers. Many have continued in their original or anticipated field. For example, three graduates of our horticultural courses are now directors of major botanic gardens. Graduates from our professional courses have integrated what they learned into their lifework. Some graduates have stayed on or returned and become valuable members of NTBG’s staff.* Others may have pursued alternative paths.

To Our Graduates

We encourage you to explore the Garden’s website to witness NTBG’s growth since you were last at the gardens. If you were one of our first graduates, you might remember the NTBG having slightly over 300 acres --- now it comprises over 1,800! Graduates before 1988 remember the institution as the Pacific Tropical Botanical Garden. More recent graduates saw the Conservation and Horticulture Center just starting to take shape; it now grows out thousands of plants. While some of you may have stayed in the dormitory at The Kampong, you did not have a laboratory to use until now.

We hope you will maintain your connection with the NTBG. Please let us hear from you --- share with us your:

In the foreseeable future, we plan to publish a full list of graduates on this page. This will not include private information, such as contact numbers or addresses. Also, to protect your privacy, we do not share alumni contact information with other graduates without permission.

For the National Tropical Botanical Garden to continue to grow and improve we need your participation. If you are not already a member of the Garden, please consider joining, or making a donation.
