The Ghoulish Goblin Garden Bash

Saturday, October 27: 3p.m.-5 p.m.
Visitors Center, Southshore Kaua`i - 4425 Lāwa`i Road, Po`ipū


The Bash is open to keiki ages 6-10 and their `ohana. Dress up like a ghoul or goblin for a chance to win a special prize!

Interpretive stations:

  • Snakes in the Forest: Search for the hidden invasive snakes.

  • Halloween Senses: A hands-on activity with squishy and gooey things from nature.

  • `Āina Trick or Treat: Identify native and invasive species

  • Zelda the Good Witch: Meet Zelda and her friendly native friends, including the happy-faced spider nananana makaki`i, the Hawaiian crow ‘alalā, and the Hawaiian short-eared owl pueo.

  • Mask Making: Design your own creative mask

  • Story Telling: Gather for spooky and mysterious tales from Hawai‘i’s natural history

  • The Bash will end with a candy hunt.

    Children should be accompanied by parent or guardian.
    RSVPs are required. To sign up, call NTBG Education Coordinator Stefani Gee at 332-7324, ext. 250.

    This event is being held in partnership by the National Tropical Botanical Garden and the Hawai`i Invasive Species Council.
