Current Openings:

This position will primarily work in the Garden proper. Duties include managing and maintaining our ethnobotanical collections; reinvigorating Limahuli’s community-based subsistence agriculture program, and implementing ‘K-12 and beyond’ education programs. This position requires effective and positive communication skills, both verbal and electronic.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate knowledge of and experience in Hawaiian farming traditions, organic and subsistence agriculture, local-food systems, K-12 education, curriculum development, and volunteer management. Practical or formal training in environmental science and education, as well as Hawaiian culture and history, is strongly recommended.
Must be able to work weekdays, 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m., and occasional weekends.
