McBryde Garden History
McBryde Garden lies in the southern part of the Hawaiian ahupua‘a (land division) of Lāwa‘i, originally extending along the Lāwa‘i Stream from the Kapalaoa Range to Lāwa‘i Bay.
Meet Hawaiian native plants that breathe life into our islands, enter a regenerative food forest, trace the history of plant life, and discover rare species from across the tropics — all in one extraordinary garden. Visit McBryde Garden and grow a brighter tomorrow for generations of plants and people.
We are happy to share that storm recovery efforts are going well and we are able to resume some tour experiences this week including Best of Both Worlds, Allerton at Sunset, and Allerton by Fire Tours. McBryde Self-guided Tours and Allerton Guided Tours are on pause until we complete access road repairs and additional safety improvements.
Reservations are encouraged. Tours often sell out in advance.
